Join
TastebudsNYC Sunday, April 11th for a very special cook-off fundraiser for Hot
Bread Kitchen, a non-profit social enterprise that enhances the future for
immigrant women and preserves baking traditions. To date, Hot Bread Kitchen, a 2009 Neighborhood Achievement
Award winner, has provided 10 immigrant women with paid job training and
English classes. Hot Bread Kitchen
provides bread lovers with multi-ethnic breads, granola, corn tortillas, lavash
and more, as the organization continues to grow. Breads are made with locally grown and organic ingredients
whenever possible using traditional recipes from around the world.
Sunday’s
cook-off will feature dishes from NYC foodies, with each dish incorporating either Hot Bread Kitchen’s Organic, Non-GMO corn tortillas or their amazing, Nutty Granola. The cook-off chefs
participating will have the chance to walk home with bragging rights and a
goodie bag when one is declared the winner by our expert judges, including Nick
Suarez and Theo Peck from The Food Experiments, Alexis Powell Grossman, from Crop to Cup and Katrina Schultz Richter from Hot Bread Kitchen.
